Run for a Cause in Fairwood a success


Welcome to the Run For a Cause in Fairwood website! In conjunction with the Prince Georges Running Club (PGRC) & Envision Prince George’s, The Fairwood Community hosted its first official 5k race/3k walk on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011. Thank you all for attending and helping us reach our charitable goals!

Formerly held at Allen Pond Park, this year the Run for a Cause will make the move to Fairwood, Prince Georges County’s preeminent planned community. Join us and other racers of varying skill levels, as we run through Fairwood’s unique, picturesque neighborhoods, set on a historic parcel of land in Prince Georges County. We’ll have prizes for top category performers as well as raffle giveaways. Join us in making this and future races in the Fairwood Community a success.

As the name implies, we’re running for a cause. We’re excited about supporting and working with organizations serving Prince Georges County in a positive way. This year, we’re supporting the Neighbors in Need Fund with the Prince Georges Community Foundation.
